Man dies after 'falling from height' in King's Cross

A man has died after falling from height in central London, police said.

The Metropolitan Police said officers were called to Grays Inn Road, King's Cross, by paramedics shortly after 6.30pm on Tuesday to reports a man had fallen from height.

"He was treated at scene. Despite best efforts he was pronounced dead," police said in a statement on Twitter.

Officers are working to identify the man and inform his next of kin, the statement said.

"Enquiries into the circumstances continue," it added.

"Road closures in place and officers remain on scene."

Grays Inn Road stretches from King's Cross to Chancery Lane.
