A man has reportedly died after falling from cliffs this evening.
The incident took place at Gleniff Horseshoe, a valley of mountains in north Co Sligo.
Ocean FM reports the man's body was recovered by members of Sligo Mountain Rescue, under the Annacoona Cliffs in the area.
Another person, a Spanish woman, was rescued by the team.
Donegal Mountain Rescue and the Rescue 118 Coast Guard helicopter were also involved in the rescue.
Both mountain teams had earlier reported that they were out on a call.
Local community activist Corey Whyte said: "Horrible news. Deepest condolences to family and friends of the deceased. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
"Thoughts also with the volunteers of the Sligo Leitrim Mountain Rescue Team at what must be an unfathomably difficult time."
