Man dies after falling from building next to Barbican Centre in central London

A man has died after falling from a building next to the Barbican Centre in central London.

Police were called to Frobisher Crescent in central London, near where the renowned performing arts centre is located, at around 1.30pm on Friday.

Forensic teams remained at the scene throughout the afternoon as a police cordon remained in place.

Pictures and video footage show police officers outside the Barbican Exhibition Halls at around 5pm.

A spokesman for City of London Police told the Standard: “Police were called by London Ambulance Service paramedics at 1.33pm on Friday to Frobisher Crescent, where a man was found with significant injuries having appeared to have fallen from a height.

"The man was sadly confirmed deceased at the scene.

"Officers are currently investigating the circumstances of this incident.”
