A man has died after being recovered from the water at a well-known Scots beauty spot.
Emergency services were called to Finnich Glen, also known as the Devil’s Pulpit, in Stirlingshire at around 1.30 pm on Wednesday, May 21, following reports of concern for a person in the area.
Multiple emergency crews attended, including Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, mountain rescue teams, and HM Coastguard.
Ambulance services confirmed that four people had been treated at the scene and discharged.
However, the body of one man was recovered from the water and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
As part of the emergency response, road closures were put in place on the A809 between Croftamie and Finnich Toll, and on the B834 at the junction with the A81, to allow services full access to the site. The roads have since reopened.
