A man was killed after he lost control of his car on Lake Shore Drive, jumped a curb and crashed into a light police early Wednesday, police said.
The accident happened about 12:15 a.m. as the driver, 29, was headed south in the 3600 block of North Lake Shore Drive, police said.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. He has not been identified.
A passenger, a 27-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition, police said.
Area One detectives were investigating.
