Man dies after crash with a car towing a caravan

A man has died after a crash involving a car towing a caravan and a flatbed recovery vehicle.

The incident happened on the A548 Coast Road in Tan-Lan, near Holywell , at 10.05am on Saturday, July 6.

The driver of the flatbed, a 41-year-old local man, was treated by emergency services but died at the scene.

Sergeant Leigh Evans from North Wales Police's roads policing unit, said; "At approximately 10.05am this morning, North Wales Police and other emergency services responded to the scene of a road traffic collision involving a Nissan Qashqai, towing a caravan and a flatbed recovery vehicle.

“Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the 41-year-old driver of the flatbed vehicle, who was local to the area, tragically died.

“An investigation is underway and I’d like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the collision or events leading up to it.”
