Man dies after crash where car flipped on its roof, police confirm

A man has died after a crash which left a car flipped on its roof on Sunday afternoon, police confirmed.

Officers were called to reports of a crash between a blue Ford Kuga and a white Alfa Romeo Mito on the B6025 (Alfreton Road) between Westhouses and Tibshelf in Derbyshire just before 4.50pm on September 29.

The Ford Kuga had left the road and was on its roof with the driver trapped inside.

The Air Ambulance and East Midlands Ambulance Service were also called to the scene to assist, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Derbyshire police are now appealing for anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and witnessed the incident, or anyone with dash cam installed, to come forward.
