A man has died after collapsing and sustaining a 'serious head injury'.
North West Air Ambulance responded to the incident near Pott Shrigley, near Macclesfield. Kinder Mountain Rescue Team were also called to assist with the emergency incident.
The man, a hiker, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, Cheshire Live reports.

A spokesperson for the Mountain Rescue Team said: "The team would like to pass on our condolences to the gentleman’s family and friends."
It comes after Kinder Mountain Rescue Team responded to a number of other calls this week including an incident on the same day where Derbyshire Police contacted them to help locate two lost men on Kidner Scout. Over the Easter weekend, the rescue team were also called out after a ma, James Alexander Ryan, fell to his death in the Peak District, near Castleton.
