Man dies after boat overturns in Scots fishing Loch

A man has died after his boat overturned in an Scots fishing Loch.

Two helicopters and a number of fire engines, ambulances and police vehicles raced to Loch Snipe outside the village of Coylton in Ayrshire at about 6.35pm on Sunday night.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue boat was seen scanning the fishing loch which is located about five miles from Ayr on the B742.

Sadly the 21-year-old couldn't be saved.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “A 21 year-old man has died after a boat overturned on Snipe Loch, near Coylton around 6.05pm on Sunday.

“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
