A man has died after being struck by a bus in Aberdeenshire .
Emergency services were called to the A92 near Newtonhill following reports of a ‘serious collision’ at around 10am on Sunday.
Officers at the scene have closed the road southbound for more than four hours while investigations continue.
Drivers have been urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Crash investigations are ongoing and diversions are still in place.
“Motorists are thanked for their patience whilst enquiries are being carried out.”
