A man has died after being hit by a train at Paisley Gilmour Street station.
Police and paramedics attended the scene after the alarm was raised around 8:50pm yesterday evening.
British Transport Police have confirmed that the man, in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man's death is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police spokesman confirmed: "British Transport Police were called at 8.50pm on 06/02 to Paisley Gilmour station following a report of a casualty on the tracks.
"Sadly a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious".
