Man dies after being hit by car at Gowerton petrol station

A 66-year-old man hit by a car at a petrol station in Swansea has died, police have confirmed.

On Monday, September 30, police were called at about 12.35pm to a collision between a car and a pedestrian at the forecourt of a garage in Brynymor Road, Gowerton.

The crash happened at the Esso Filling Station, Tesco Express, and involved an orange Fiat panda and a pedestrian.

The Wales Air Ambulance was also at the scene and the Tesco Express store was closed for most of the afternoon.

The man was taken to hospital but police have now confirmed that the man has died.

A spokesman for South Wales Police said: "The 66-year-old man who was involved in the collision has sadly now died."
