Man dies after being hit by a lorry on Scots road near Luss

A man has died after being struck by a lorry near Luss.

Emergency services raced to the scene on the A82 at around 8:30pm on Sunday, August 29.

A 31-year-old man, who was a pedestrian, was hit by the vehicle south of Luss, and pronounced dead at the scene.

The road was closed for around nine hours while officers carried out a full collision investigation.

Police are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Sergeant Kevin Craig, of Dumbarton Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the deceased at this time.

“We are conducting extensive enquiries into the circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward."
