Man dies after reports of stabbing on Glasgow street

A man has died after being allegedly stabbed on a Glasgow street.

Cops raced to Boydstone Road in Pollok this afternoon after locals reported hearing a disturbance.

It is understood they were responding to reports of a stabbing on the street.

The 32-year-old was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University hospital after the incident at around 1.25pm today.

The force have now confirmed that he died in hospital a short time later.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report of a man seriously injured on Boydstone Road, Glasgow, around 1.25pm on Tuesday, 15 September.

"The 32-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he died a short time later. Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information about the incident should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 1615 of 15 September"

The street has been cordoned off by police and is closed to all traffic as they investigate what happened.
