A man has died after being found unconscious in a swimming pool in Kent.

Police discovered the man in a £3 million mansion in the village of Crundale in the early hours of Sunday.

He later died in hospital, with Kent Police saying on Monday the cause of his death is unknown.

The force said in a statement: “Police were called to a house in Crundale, Canterbury at 3.37am on Sunday, July 28 following an incident in a swimming pool where a man was found unconscious.

“The man was taken to hospital where he later died.

“Police are investigating the circumstances around the incident and at this stage the man’s death is being treated as unexplained.

“Next of kin have been informed.”

South East Coast Ambulance Service refused to comment.
