A man has lost his life after getting trapped between his vehicle and two parked cars, police have said
On Monday evening at around 6.45pm Devon and Cornwall police officers rushed to a Plymouth street to reports of a motorist in trouble.
When they arrived they found a man trapped between three vehicles.
The man, in his 60s, suffered very serious injuries and was taken to Derriford Hospital for treatment.
Despite the efforts of emergency service workers he could not be saved.
His family are now being supported by specialist trained officers following the tragic death.
The street where he died was closed for several hours while police dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were notified of a collision which had taken place in Penrose Street, Plymouth involving a blue coloured Vauxhall Grandland and two parked vehicles.
"It is understood from enquiries at the scene that the driver of the Vauxhall has become trapped between his vehicle and the parked cars and sadly passed away at the scene.
"Officers from Devon and Cornwall roads policing team attended the collision.
"Police would like to thank the public for their patience while the road remained closed for a period of time while an investigation was completed.
"The family of the deceased are being supported by specialist trained officers."
The sad death led to an outpouring of grief online.
One person wrote: "So sad to wake to yet another death.
"May you rest in paradise. Such a shame. Thoughts and prayers go out to family and all those that knew him."
