A man in his 60s has died after the ambulance he was being taking to hospital in crashed.

The patient had suffered a "medical episode" and was being rushed to Hull Royal Infirmary when the ambulance collided with a Toyota Yaris.

Two paramedics from Yorkshire Ambulance Service suffered minor shoulder injuries in the crash and the driver of the Toyota was unhurt but shaken, Hull Live reports.

The man's death is not being linked to the crash but to the medical episode he suffered on Monday.
