A 60-year-old man died Friday, 10 days after he was involved in a vehicle crash in Gary, Indiana.

Robert Williams crashed about 1 p.m. Dec. 23 at an unknown address in Gary, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office. He was pronounced dead about 3:30 p.m. Friday.

Gary police did not respond to a request for details about the incident.

An autopsy Saturday ruled Williams’ death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said. The primary cause was atherosclerotic heart disease, with complications from blunt force injuries sustained in the crash as a contributing factor.
