Police have launched an investigation after a man was deliberately driven at before being assaulted in Dundee .
Police were called to Douglas Road at around 2.35pm after reports of the incident on Friday afternoon.
A mid-sized SUV mounted the pavement, causing a male pedestrian to dive out of the way and fall to the ground.
The passenger of the vehicle got out of the vehicle and started punching the man on pavement.
Officers arrived on the scene shortly after the vehicle and the passengers fled the area.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Enquiries are ongoing and we would ask any witnesses to the incident to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 2136 of 27/12.”
