A man is dead and another is in custody as police investigate an alleged assault at a suburban unit.
Police were called to a unit at Ryde, in Sydney, just after 5pm on Saturday following reports of an assault.
On arrival, emergency crews found and treated an unconscious 48-year-old man.
He was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital where he was later declared dead.
Detectives arrested a 24-year-old man on Sunday who was being questioned at Campbelltown Police Station.
