Man dead after shots fired in Darndale, north Dublin as gardai rush to scene

A man has died after a shooting in Darndale, north Dublin.

The incident is thought to have taken place after four pm.

It is understood that the victim is in his early 20s.

There is a heavy garda presence in the Darndale area.

It happened in the Marigold Road area of Darndale.

A garda spokesman: "Gardaí are at the scene of shooting incident that occurred at approximately 4pm on 22/5/19, in the Marigold Road area Darndale. Further details will be issued in due course."
