Man dead after shooting in Chicago Lawn

A man died after being shot Friday in Chicago Lawn on the Southwest Side.

The 25-year-old was shot in the right shoulder and hip about 10 p.m. in the 2600 block of West 62nd Street, Chicago police said. A friend dropped him off at Holy Cross Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the fatality.

There is no one in custody, and Area One detectives are investigating.
