Man dead after quad bike horror crash in the Highlands

A man has died in the Highlands following a horror quad bike crash.

Emergency services raced to Dochcarty Brae, near the Glen Wyvis distillery in Dingwall when the alarm was raised at 2.45pm on Friday.

It is believed the vehicle left the road and careered into a ditch.

Paramedics rushed to treat the man on the scene but he could not be saved.

Fire crews sent three appliances in a bid to recover the quad bike.

A police spokeswoman told the Record: “A man has died following a one vehicle crash involving a quad bike on Docharty Brae in Dingwall.

“Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the crash.

"We were made aware of the incident at 2.45pm."
