A man in his 40s has died after a horror crash in Co Clare this afternoon.
Gardaí are currently at the scene of the fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 2:10 pm on the N18, Bunratty, Co. Clare.
The collision involved a jeep towing a trailer travelling on the N18, Bunratty, Co. Clare.
The man's body has been removed to University Hospital Limerick, where a post-mortem will take place at a later date.
The road is currently closed, and local diversions are in place.
Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are currently conducting a technical examination.
Investigating Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward, especially those who may have been travelling on the road at the time and who may have dashcam footage.
