Man cycles into river during BBC News broadcast on Brexit

As MPs were battling it out over Brexit again last night, a man summed up the nation's mood when he fell off his bike into a river during a live television broadcast.

The BBC News broadcast from Edinburgh was reporting on how Scotland could seek a new independence vote following a potential election.

In footage shared on social media, a hooded man slowly cycles behind the presenter, before appearing to lose his balance.

He then waves his arms about before tumbling into a river.

Many people commented that the incident summed up the current political mood in the UK, as the Brexit crisis shows no sign of being resolved.

Today, MP's will attempt to block a no-deal Brexit today after they voted to seize control the Commons.
