Man cut out of car after it crashed into advertising board on Stanningley Road

Emergency services were called to the scene after a car crashed into an advertising board in Leeds.

Police and fire crews were called to Stanningley Road in Leeds last night, July 2, at around 8.30pm after the car became trapped under the board.

A man had to be cut out of the car by the fire service and taken care of by ambulance crews.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said: "Road traffic collision involving one car trapped under an advertising board.

"One male casualty extricated by fire service personnel and placed in the care of ambulance crews.

"Appliances from Stanningley and Leeds attended."

Police officers also tweeted the scene of the crash and the car could be seen completely through the advertising board.

PC Robbo Robson said: "Stanningley Road Leeds - the driver of this will be spoken to about where to and where not to park his vehicle."
