A man was critically wounded by gunfire Monday outside a corner store in Rogers Park on the North Side.
The 42-year-old was standing outside in the 7500 block of North Rogers Avenue about 9:15 p.m. when someone in a passing white BMW fired shots, Chicago police said.
He was struck in his leg, abdomen and lower back, police said. The man was taken in critical condition to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.
Shortly after the shooting, police taped off the Eddy’s Food Mart at 7575 N. Rogers Ave.
There appeared to be blood on the ground next to discarded toilet paper rolls and articles of clothing.
Area North detectives are investigating the shooting. No arrests have been reported.
