Man critically injured in Humboldt Park hit-and-run

A man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle Thursday in Humboldt Park on the West Side.

The man was struck by a silver Infiniti about 11 p.m. as he crossed the street in the 3900 block of West Chicago Avenue, Chicago police said.

The driver fled west on Chicago Avenue, and the man was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The Chicago police Major Accidents Unit is investigating.
