Man critically hurt in Humboldt Park shooting

A man was shot Jan. 6 in Humboldt Park. | Sun-Times file photo

A man in his 20s was critically wounded in a shooting Wednesday afternoon in the Humboldt Park shooting.

Paramedics responded to the gunshot victim about 2:45 p.m. near North and Kedzie avenues, according Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Merritt.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Chicago police did not immediately have details.
