Man critical in hospital after crash which has closed road in both directions

A man is in a critical condition following a serious collision in Powys. The incident happened at around 1.50pm on Friday, August 28, near Llandinam.

The A470 at Llanidloes, near to the site of the collision, remained closed in both directions on Friday evening as investigations continued.

Two vehicles - an HGV lorry and a panel van - were involved in the collision. 

Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police as well as the fire service and paramedics went to the incident and a man aged in his 50s was airlifted to hospital.
