A man has been left absolutely 'horrified', after discovering what resembles animal faeces on the inside of a Tesco sandwich.
Ronnie Henry was looking forward to munching down on his smoked ham and mature cheese sub, from Tesco Express in Eastfield, Wolverhampton, when he made the grim discovery.
"I was horrified when I saw it. I took it out of the packaging and for some reason I looked underneath it, not sure what prompted me to do that," he recalled.
"And there was a piece of brown stuff that literally looks like cat or fox faeces. I got straight in touch with them on Twitter and I’ve taken it back to the store for it to go off to be investigated."

After finding the mysterious brown lump, Ronnie took to Twitter to complain, prompting others to suggest it looked "like cat s***."
"Bought a ham and cheese sub from @Tesco, anyone got an idea what the f**k this is that was stuck in the bread?" he tweeted.
"Might be something to do with the bread but looks like cat s**t to me. Straight in the bin."

"Cat turd," one wrote, while another added: "Looks like cat s*** for f*** sake."
In an email to Ronnie, Tesco has since apologised for the mystery finding, and has vowed to investigate how the alleged cat poop made its way into the sandwich and onto store shelves.
"I am very sorry to learn that you found this inside your sub and I understand the concern caused by this. We take great pride in providing our customers with the best quality of products, so to hear this has disappointed me," they wrote.
"Again I’m very sorry that this happened and I hope that I’ve been able to help you get this investigated further."
