A man who threatened the life of a fourteen-year-old boy while using him to sell cannabis-laced sweets has been convicted.
Silas Rose-Morris, of Empire Way, Wembley, was found guilty at Harrow Crown Court on Wednesday of possession with intent to supply MDMA, a Class A drug, and possession of criminal property.
He had already confessed to being involved in supplying cannabis, possessing the prohibited PAVA spray weapon, and making malicious communications.
The trial heard how Rose-Morris’s offending was discovered when a fourteen-year-old boy reported his life had been threatened by an adult using him to sell cannabis edibles.
On June 25, officers raided Rose-Morris’s home and found mobile devices used to threaten the victim and contact other youngsters, a number of infused sweets and “a large number” of MDMA tablets and cash.
The eighteen-year-old was bailed and is due for sentence at the same court in February next year.
“We will continue to target individuals like Rose-Morris who criminally exploit juveniles or the vulnerable, and have resources dedicated to investigating these types of crimes,” said Sergeant PJ Jones of the Met’s North West Command Predatory Offender Unit.
“We urge anyone with information about any predatory offenders to contact police directly or speak to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously.
“There are many support networks that are available for those who need them.”
