Man commits 3rd Chicago bank robbery in 6 days: Officials

CHICAGO _ A man believed responsible for two other North Side bank robberies since Saturday robbed a bank in a Buena Park grocery store Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.

The man robbed the TCF Bank, 4355 N. Sheridan Road, about 4:10 p.m., according to an FBI spokesman.

The man did not hold anyone against their will in the robbery, making it what's known to FBI investigators as a "non-takeover" bank robbery, according to the FBI, which released no other details.

The man also is believed to have robbed a Byline Bank bank branch, 3401 N. Western Ave., Tuesday morning, and another Byline Bank, 1401 W. Belmont Ave., Saturday morning, according to BanditTrackerChicago.com, a law-enforcement website.

The man is believed to be white, standing 5-foot-11 to 6-foot-1 and with a medium build. In Thursday's robbery, he was wearing a long-sleeved, denim buttoned shirt.
