Man comes forward after CCTV caught him lobbing chairs off balcony at Cabot Circus

A man has come forward after a CCTV appeal showed him chucking chairs off a balcony at Cabot Circus.

Police released footage earlier this month in which a man threw chairs while in the city centre shopping complex at about 2am on August 21.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokeswoman said: "This incident has been resolved through community resolution.

"A 29-year-old man came forward following the appeal for information and has paid compensation to the owner of the chairs."

The video starts with a man resting on the balcony at Cabot Circus and looking around.

He then picks up a chair from a restaurant and continues to scan the area, before hurling it over the balcony.

He quickly grabs another chair, lobs it into the pedestrian area and flees the scene.

A police spokeswoman said the chairs were damaged in the incident.
