Police have arrested two men after one clung to the hood of a moving SUV for three miles on a busy motorway in the US state of Massachussets.
The apparent road rage incident followed an argument about a small traffic accident which escalated dramatically.
Richard Kamrowski confronted Mark Fitzgerald after their two vehicles were involved in a minor collision.
He then jumped on top of Mr Fitzgerald's car bonnet, when the other man attempted to drive away.
The driver did not stop the vehicle and instead travelled on for three miles, at points driving at 70mph.
"I thought he was going to run me over. I don't think he stopped, he kept going fast, slow, fast, slow, to get me to slide off," Mr Kamrowski said, according to NBC Boston.
Police said that Mr Fitzgerald drove "a very significant distance" and alternately slowed and acclerated when the 65-year-old did not climb down from the car.
Video from the scene appears to show the vehicle with a cracked windscreen.
The car was eventually stopped when other drivers intervened, with one going as far as to point a gun at the driver.
"I was assaulted. That's it," Mr Kamrowski said.
"I just kept telling him, 'Stop the car, stop the car,' and he wouldn't stop."
Police officers arrested both men and charged Mr Fitzgerald with assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation and leaving the scene of a crash causing property damage.
Mr Kamrowski faces disorderly conduct charges.
