A man climbed onto the roof of a house after police were called to a row.
Officers were alerted shortly after 3pm that a dispute had broken out at a home on St Edmond's Road in Bootle .
It is believed that when police arrived at the house and attempted to deal with the disturbance , that a man climbed up onto the roof.
Witnesses reported seeing up to four police cars on the road before a cordon was put in place around the house
The cordon came down a short time later before officers arrested a teenager at the scene.
A 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We were called at 3.15pm today to reports of a domestic disturbance in which a male briefly climbed onto the roof of a property in St Edmunds Road in Bootle.
"He is now down from the roof.
"A 17 year-old male has been arrested on suspicion of assault."
