Man cleared over alleged attack on householder

A man accused of joining in an attack on a householder has been found not guilty.

Keiran King, 30, of no fixed address, was cleared of burglary at an address in Beech Avenue, Alfreton, Derbyshire, with the intention of inflicting GBH on resident Ian Gilbert.

King was further cleared of an alternative charge of assault, causing bodily harm on Mr Gilbert on June 19.

A jury at Nottingham Crown Court heard Mr Gilbert was attacked by a group of people.

One was allegedly Mr King, who denied all the charges.
