Man City youngster on training with Pep Guardiola and his superstars

Premier League clubs, including Manchester City have now been back in training for a few weeks ahead of the return of fixtures.

City are one of the four Premier League clubs to kick off the restart on Wednesday when they take on Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium.

The coronavirus pandemic means that players were away from the training ground for some time, with them only allowed to return with strict measures in place.

Clubs are now permitted to take part in full contact training, although measures still remain in place to ensure the safety of both players and staff members.

The new way of training has also seen some new faces join the group, with a number of youngsters joining Pep Guardiola’s first team as they prepare for the visit of the Gunners.

One of the players to have been called up is midfielder Cole Palmer, and the 18-year-old has described what it is like training alongside the first team under Guardiola.

“It’s very good,” he told TheSecretScout .

“You learn so much in a very short period of time and especially from the players, it’s crazy! So detailed!”

It is claimed that Palmer’s performance in training over the last few days has caught the eye of Guardiola and his backroom staff.

The teenager has mainly been playing for the club’s U18 team this season, scoring an impressive 15 goals and providing five assists in 14 league games this campaign.

The midfielder also has nine caps for England U18s, scoring two goals for his country.
