Manchester City XI vs Leicester: Confirmed lineup, team news, injuries, Covid latest for Premier League today

Phil Foden and Jack Grealish are both on the Manchester City bench for today’s game against Leicester at the Etihad Stadium.

The pair were dropped for the 4-0 win over Newcastle after being pictured on a night out after the 7-0 win against Leeds.

Guardiola has warned his payers that they must behave on and off the pitch in order to be picked, and he has decided not to bring Foden or Grealish back into the team yet.

There is also no Rodri in the squad so Fernandinho gets a rare start – just his fourth in the Premier League this season.

Gabriel Jesus drops to the bench so Ilkay Gundogan starts.

Brazilian 18-year-old Kayky is in the City squad for the first time.

For Leicester, Jamie Vardy is only fit enough for the bench as Brendan Rodgers is forced into six changes from the team that beat Newcastle in their last Premier League match.

Manchester City confirmed XI: Ederson, Cancelo, Dias, Laporte, Zinchenko, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Bernardo, Mahrez, Sterling.

Subs: Steffen, Carson, Ake, Jesus, Grealish, Kayky, Foden, Mbete, Palmer.

Leicester confirmed XI: Schmeichel, Albrighton, Amartey, Vestergaard, Thomas, Tielemans, Maddison, Dewsbury-Hall, Lookman, Perez, Iheanacho.

Subs: Jakupovic, Bertrand, Nelson, Vardy, Soumare, McAteer, Ndidi, Choudhury, Castagne.
