Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is in contention to face Leicester after recovering from a thigh injury.
John Stones is also available after recovering from a damaged hamstring to hand Pep Guardiola a fitness boost ahead of crunch game.
But David Silva is still out after suffering a knock in the derby defeat to United earlier this month.
Guardiola is beginning to see his injury concerns clear at a pivotal stage of the season, with long-term absentees Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane the only other players on the sidelines.
City can move to within a point of Leicester with a win at the Etihad – and Guardiola praised Brendan Rodgers’ impact since taking over at the King Power.
“They did really well last season when he took over, this season too, so consistent, excellent team,” said the City manager. “They sold (Harry) Maguire, the other team is the same.
“A lot of quality in the middle, counter attacks, they control all departments of the team. Last season I had the feeling they’d fight for the top four and it’s happened, they’re a fantastic team.”

Possible City XI: Ederson; Walker, Fernandinho, Otamendi, Mendy; De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling
