Man City XI vs Leeds: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League game today

Pep Guardiola has no new injury concerns as Manchester City battle Leeds in the Premier League tonight.

Defending champions City go into the game atop the Premier League table, with five-straight wins in the league and with the ability to stretch out their lead over Liverpool and Chelsea - as City play before their rivals in the midweek action.

Joao Cancelo misses out due to a one-game ban, having received his fifth booking of the campaign at home to Wolves. Ferran Torres remains out with a foot injury.

Ilkay Gundogan has been confirmed as fit to play by Guardiola despite coming off early with a back issue on the weekend. Whether or not the German actually features will come down to the City manager’s rotation plans amid a hectic fixture schedule and he starts on the bench.

Guardiola has admitted his concern that Covid-19 could strike down his squad just as Tottenham, Manchester United and others have found.

He said: “I'm concerned not because the Premier League could have a break or be cancelled, I'm concerned because the virus is still here in society and people suffer.

“We have seen with Tottenham, Norwich, Leicester and United - there are many and some staff here have got it right now. We spoke with the players almost every day: be careful, stay safe, stay healthy, masks, social distance because now in the Christmastime the tendency is to gout and do something extra.”

Man City starting XI: Ederson, Dias (C), Stones, Laporte, Rodrigo, Zinchenko, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Mahrez, Foden, Grealish.

Subs: Steffen, Ake, Sterling, Gundogan, Jesus, Fernandinho, Egan-Riley, Palmer, Wilson-Esbrand
