Man City XI vs Leeds: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup, injury latest for Premier League

Decisions to make: Pep Guardiola - (London Standard)

Pep Guardiola has decisions to make as Manchester City return to Premier League action against Leeds.

Man City were stunned earlier in the week by Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League, with the Bundesliga side running out 2-0 victors at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola tinkered with his starting XI against Kasper Hjulmund’s side, resting key players and giving those on the fringes an opportunity to impress.

That experiment ultimately backfired, with City slumping to a first loss in Europe this season.

That result means it’s two defeats on the bounce for Guardiola’s side since the international break and they will be out to make amends against a vulnerable Leeds side this weekend.

Gianluigi Donnarumma should return between the sticks, while Matheus Nunes has been consistent at right-back and is in contention to replace Abdukodir Khusanov.

Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol have been the go-to centre-back pairing, with youngster Nico O’Reilly completing the defensive quartet.

Rodri remains sidelined with a hamstring issue, so Nico Gonzalez is expected to deputise in midfield once again, potentially alongside Phil Foden and Bernardo Silva.

Rayan Cherki was selected on the right flank in City’s win over Liverpool and defeat by Newcastle, and he should come straight back in alongside Erling Haaland and Jeremy Doku.

Predicted Man City XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Silva, Nico, Foden; Cherki, Haaland, Doku

Injured: Rodri, Kovacic

Venue: Etihad Stadium

Time and date: 3pm GMT on Saturday, November 30, 2025
