Man City wear black armbands vs Leicester City in honour of former manager Billy McNeill

Man City are wearing black armbands in their crucial Premier League clash with Leicester City to honour former manager Billy McNeill who recently passed away.

McNeil died on April 22 but the game against Leicester is their first home game since then - having played against Manchester United and Burnley away - and the Blues have waited until now to pay their respects.

McNeill managed City for 150 games between 1983-86, and led the club to promotion back to the first division in 1985. He left in 1986 to take over at Aston Villa, before returning to Celtic where he had enjoyed immense success as a player and manager.

The Scot was a legend at Celtic Park, as he was the captain of the famed Lisbon Lions who became the first British team to win the Champions League when they beat Inter in 1967.

Man City fans worried by one Pep Guardiola team selection decision vs Leicester

McNeill is the record appearance maker for Celtic as a player, where he also won nine league titles, seven Scottish cups and six league cups.

City face Leicester needing a victory to move back to the top of the Premier League table over Liverpool.
