Manchester City will wear black armbands for their after the tragic death of Luis Enrique's daughter. Xana, 9, passed away on Thursday after five months after being diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer.

Pep Guardiola chose to begin his press conference on Friday by offering his support to the former Barcelona boss and his family, saying: “We knew it was not good, but always you dream everything is going well. I don’t have words, there is absolutely nothing to say.

“Always you try to find reasons why, but there is no argument for a little girl, only nine years old. From Manchester City and my family, we are here, and hopefully soon I can see him and tell him how I love him and his family.”

City have taken the decision to wear black armbands for their Premier League game as a mark of respect.
