Man City vs Watford referee confirmed

Manchester City return to Premier League action this weekend.

Just under a week since Pep Guardiola's side were beaten by Norwich at Carrow Road in one of the biggest surprises of the season so far, City will be hoping to return to winning ways in the league against Watford at the Etihad.

City did, however, pick up all three points in Ukraine on Wednesday night, with goals from Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan and Gabriel Jesus handing the reigning the Premier League champions a 3-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League.

Mike Dean will be the man in the middle at the Etihad, assisted by Ian Hussin and Dan Robathan, while Craig Pawson will be overseeing things from a VAR perspective.

Dean has so far branded the most red cards in the division, giving two players their marching orders. The first was shown to Southampton's Kevin Dawson against Manchester United, before West Ham's Arthur Masuaku received two booking in his side's game against Aston Villa on Monday night.

The Wirral-born official has an average of awarding 21.40 fouls per game, while he has also shown 3.40 cautions per match.
