Man City vs Tottenham: Premier League 2019 prediction, lineups, odds, live stream, TV channel, tickets, h2h

Manchester City vs Tottenham
Premier League 2018-19
Venue: Etihad Stadium
Date: Saturday, April 20, 2019
Kick-off time: 12:30pm GMT

With the dust having barely settled on their Champions League epic, familiar foes Manchester City and Tottenham go head-to-head for the third time in just 11 days on Saturday in a match that could have sizeable ramifications for the top-flight title race.

Wednesday's quarter-final second leg was one of the all-time great European knockout ties filled with goals, drama and no shortage of late VAR controversy, with the Harry Kane-less Spurs - who won the first meeting 1-0 at their new stadium - eventually prevailing on away goals despite losing 4-3 on the night.

With their hopes of claiming an unprecedented quadruple now quashed, City will be desperate to get revenge by claiming a victory that would see them return to the Premier League summit and heap pressure on title rivals Liverpool, who travel to relegation-threatened Cardiff on Sunday.

The domestic stakes are also high for Tottenham, who would go four points clear of top-four rivals Arsenal and Chelsea in third with another memorable win at the Etihad.

Manchester City vs Tottenham team news and predicted line-ups

Oleksandr Zinchenko remains doubtful for City as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury that saw him miss out against Tottenham in midweek.

Experienced goalkeeper Claudio Bravo (achilles) remains a long-term absentee.

Man City XI: Ederson, Walker, Stones, Laporte, Mendy, De Bruyne, Gundogan, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Sterling, Aguero

Tottenham will need to assess Moussa Sissoko on Friday after the French midfielder - who did not realise that Raheem Sterling's last-gasp goal had been disallowed for offside - limped off after just 41 minutes on Wednesday with a suspected groin muscle injury.

Eric Dier is back in contention after a hip flexor strain, along with the lesser-spotted Vincent Janssen, but Kane (ankle) and Serge Aurier (hamstring) are both sidelined.

Harry Winks is also still out with a groin issue to exacerbate Pochettino's midfield issues, while Erik Lamela withdrew from the squad for the quarter-final second leg with the recurrence of a hamstring complaint.

Tottenham XI: Lloris, Trippier, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose, Wanyama, Dier, Alli, Eriksen, Son, Lucas Moura

Score prediction: Manchester City 3-1 Tottenham

Champions League hopes scuppered yet again, City will be eager to ensure that they do not go on to concede the title to Liverpool and render such a brilliant campaign something of a disaster.

This fixture pits the Premier League's most dominant home side against its third best away outfit, with the latter surely not short of confidence after their midweek heroics.

However, it is easy to see a scorned City team inflicting some swift vengeance with a far more comfortable home win.

Head to Head history and results (h2h)

These two teams have met 43 times in the top-flight in the Premier League era, with Tottenham winning 23. City have claimed 14 victories, while there have also been six draws.

Despite their Champions League disappointment, City have actually won four of the last five matches against Spurs, including a 1-0 league success at Wembley in October. Riyad Mahrez notched an early winner on that occasion.
