Manchester City and Southampton meet for the second time in five days in Saturday's Premier League clash at Etihad Stadium.
Man City beat the Saints 3-1 in Tuesday night's Carabao Cup tie, and Ralph Hasenhuttl's men head to Manchester again this weekend hoping to avoid a similar fate.
Southampton rallied at the Etihad following their 9-0 home defeat by Leicester City, and the travelling fans appreciated an improved display in terms of effort, if not in the result.
But Pep Guardiola was able to rest some key players in the cup win, and Southampton will have to do something truly special to take anything from the Premier League champions.
Premier League preview
Manchester City vs Southampton
Venue: Etihad Stadium
Kick-off time: 3pm, Saturday, November 2
Man City team news and injuries
Guardiola will likely ring the changes. Only Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus survived from the XI which beat Aston Villa, in the champions' previous League game, to face Saints in midweek.
The Brazilian should drop out of the starting XI, therefore, with Raheem Sterling coming back in on the left-hand side of a front three next to Sergio Aguero. Bernardo may move forward to take
Riyad Mahrez's place on the opposite flank after a midfield role on Tuesday.
Kevin De Bruyne should come in, replacing youngster Tommy Doyle, and be joined by David Silva in midfield.
Kyle Walker will be hoping to keep his place at right-back, but Joao Cancelo and Benjamin Mendy are ready to come in.
Fernandinho is suspended after being sent off against Aston Villa, meaning Nicolas Otamendi will also be looking to stay in Guardiola's thoughts after scoring.
Man City predicted lineup (4-3-3): Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Stones, Cancelo; Silva, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Bernardo, Aguero, Sterling

City have won the last six meetings though, thrashing the Saints 6-1 in the League at home last November and following that up with a 3-1 away win in December before this week's 3-1 Carabao Cup victory.
