Man City vs Shakhtar prediction: How will Champions League match play out tonight?

Manchester City host Shakhtar at the Etihad on Tuesday knowing a win will confirm their place in the last 16 as group winners.

Riyad Mahrez struck the winner for Pep Guardiola’s side at the weekend against Chelsea.

A vital three points kept the Premier League champions within eight points of leaders Liverpool.

City know they are ultimately judged on how far they go in Europe though, with the semi-finals the bare minimum.

Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

When is it?

Man City vs Shakhtar will kick off at 8pm GMT on Tuesday November 26th.

How can I watch it?

The match will be broadcast on BT Sport 3 from 7:15pm GMT.

You can live stream the match on laptops, smartphones and tablets on BT Sport Live.

Team news

Pep Guardiola has a mounting injury list, with David Silva, Rodri and Sergio Aguero all limping out of Saturday’s win over Chelsea.

Aymeric Laporte and Oleksandr Zinchenko remain sidelined, while Claudio Bravo is suspended, though Phil Foden is back from his ban in Europe, as is Bernardo Silva, from a domestic ban.

Marlos Bonfim will be out through suspension, with Maycon and Yevhen Konoplyanka working their way back from injuries. Moraes, Andriy Totovytsky, Maksim Malyshev and Manor Soloman are all injured in the build-up to this one.

Predicted line-ups

Man City: Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Fernandinho, Angelino, Foden, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Jesus, Sterling

Shakhtar: Pyatov, Bolbat, Matvyenko, Krivtsov, Ismaily, Patrick, Stepanenko, Tete, Kovalenko, Taison, Boryachuk

Odds

Man City: 1/5

Draw: 11/2

Shakhtar: 12/1

Prediction

Guardiola is juggling his squad right now with injuries and suspensions, but expect City to be too much at home as they lock up their place in the last 16 as group winners with a game to spare. 2-0 City.
