Man City vs Leicester lineups: Jack Grealish makes the bench for Community Shield

Jack Grealish has been named as a substitute for Manchester City in today’s Community Shield clash against Leicester City.

Grealish completed his £100million transfer from Aston Villa to Man City on Thursday evening, and makes the bench for Pep Guardiola’s side at Wembley.

Pep Guardiola has backed Grealish to settle in quickly, telling reporters on Friday: “I have the feeling that he knows exactly what he has to do on the pitch.

“We saw him a lot, we suffered against him a lot. When you see this mentality and quality, that’s why we thought this was a guy who could help us maintain the level and try to raise it over the next few years.”

Teenagers Cole Palmer and Sam Edozie start for the Premier League champions along with goalkeeper Zack Steffen.

FA Cup winners Leicester, without injured defenders Wesley Fofana, Jonny Evans, James Justin and Timothy Castagne, have given a debut to Ryan Bertrand.

Fellow summer signings Patson Daka and Boubakary Soumare are among the substitutes for the Foxes.
