Manchester City and Leicester City meet this evening with the Premier League champions looking to close the gap on the Foxes in second place.
With Liverpool 10 points clear of Leicester and 14 ahead of third-placed Man City after just 17 games, the chances of catching Jurgen Klopp's Reds look increasingly slim.
Leicester are obviously best-placed to chase down Liverpool should the leaders slip up, but Pep Guardiola's side have shown before that they are more than capable of stringing a superb run of results together.
Lose, and Man City's title hopes are surely over. Win, and Liverpool will have the chance to go 13 points clear when they return from the Fifa Club World Cup. It is not a great situation for either Brendan Rodgers or Guardiola, but all they can do at this point is try to keep winning and keep the pressure on Klopp.
Premier League preview
Manchester City vs Leicester City
Venue: Etihad Stadium
Date: Saturday, 21 December, 2019
Kick-off time: 5:30pm GMT
Prediction
Man City 2-2 Leicester: Both sides have plenty of goals in them, with Leicester (40) only outscored so far by Liverpool (42) and City (47).
The Foxes boast the meanest defence in the top flight with just 11 conceded, but the likes of Kevin de Bruyne and Raheem Sterling will test them to their limits
If Jamie Vardy is on form as usual, the hosts will find it hard to keep him at bay - but the same goes for Sterling at the other end.

Head to head (H2H) results history

Man City edge this Premier League fixture with eight wins to Leicester's six, along with two draws.
Both sides won their home games last term, with Leicester winning 2-1 at the King Power last December before falling to a 1-0 Etihad defeat in May. Vincent Kompany's screamer ensured Guardiola's side went into the final day of the season leading the table, and City went on to win the title.
